Nissan provided a list of the top 15 markets in the US for the Nissan LEAF battery-electric vehicle. Another three are on the West Coast and in Hawaii: Seattle (4), Portland (5), and Honolulu (6). Honolulu, with 26 quick chargers, has one of densest charging grids in the US. Top 15 LEAF market year-to-date in 2013.

Nissan North America and the state of Hawaii formed a partnership to promote the development of electric vehicles, and an electric-vehicle charging network, throughout the state. The Nissan LEAF EV will be available in Hawaii beginning in January 2011.
