Toyota’s hybrid sales in Europe reach one million units

Hybrid sales already account for 23% of Toyota Motor Europe’s (TME’s) total sales year-to-date. In August, Toyota Motor Corporation announced that Toyota and Lexus combined had sold more than eight million hybrid cars worldwide since the launch of the Toyota Prius in 1997. TME will add the RAV4 Hybrid in January next year.

Cumulative global sales of Lexus hybrids pass half-million mark

From the sale of the first RX 400h in 2005 through to the end of November this year, Lexus has sold more than 506,000 of its hybrid vehicles. Cumulative global sales of all Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC)-produced hybrid vehicles—i.e., RX 400h/450h. Today, hybrids account for about 25% of all Lexus sales.
