Not to be outdone, Cadillac has announced all new models coming from the company will be a battery electric vehicle (EVs). Cadillac says “the sense of occasion that is of an Escalade is repeated in Lyriq.”

The beauty of an electric vehicle is the flat floor, making for exceptional leg and head room for the rear passengers. They also have introduced the Plug and Charge feature that is good for all General Motors electric vehicles. The fronts were supportive and power-everything including massage.

It’s a truck, specifically the Escalade SUV, the gussied-up, very successful ultra-luxury version of the Chevy Suburban. Almost 19 feet long, almost 3 tons in curb weight, the Escalade ESV (most often in black) is a staple of affluent driveways and high-end car services across the country. Limiting factor: battery supply.

The electric car features three different battery options, two different Lithium-based (LI) systems – A123Systems and Enerdel as well as a Sodium-Nickel battery Zebra (Mes-Dea). Creature comforts include air conditioning, power steering, sunroof, and electric windows and mirrors. A few warts there too however.
