Canada-based Rapid Electric Vehicles (REV) has begun production of four converted electric bi-directional charging Ancillary Power Vehicles (APVs) ( earlier post ) as part of the US Army Tank Automotive Research Development Engineering Center (TARDEC) Micro-Grid project at Wheeler Air Base, Hawaii.

The Silverado EV drove smooth, but there was noticeable wind noise from the outside mirrors to the point we checked if all the windows were up. The price is $96,495, which is about the price of the GMC Hummer, a bit above a comparable Rivian R1T and Ford F-150 Lightning pickups, but below the Tesla CyberTruck Cyberbeast edition.

All electric motors used by Audi are liquid-cooled, so as to maintain their reliable operating temperature of at most 180 °C (356 °F). A pulse-controlled inverter transforms the DC to AC voltage as required by the electric motor. The interior of the power electronics attains temperatures considerably higher than 100°C (212 °F).
