W e've had the people in our shop go over the new energy bill with an eye for Plug Ins and electric transportation in general. SEC 132 Domestic Manufacturing Conversion Grant Program Grants to auto makers, suppliers, component manufacturers to encourage PHEVs, EVs, and advanced diesels. T here has been a lot of news too!

The PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), a subset of the electric car, combines a primary electric motor with a much smaller back-up engine fueled with a hydrocarbon/biofuel mix. (In In this paper PHEV refers solely to the long-range PHEV of 60 miles (100 km) electric-only range.) It is much more than that.
