How does this sound: 100+ MPG in a regular vehicle? At $3 for a gallon of gas, driving a non-hybrid car costs 8-20 cents/mile (depending on MPG). PHEV conversions are emerging at a frenzied rate (see the frequency of CalCars-News postings), to the point where its no longer feasible to track every instance of a PHEV.

I wish the thing was for sale as-is. and 49 mpg. Theres a company in Guernsey (a UK island) which does conversions (the Mk1 shape), but I want a current shape model and a 60 mile range is just fine. Well they did give brief bursts of acceleration through the parking lot to show that it does have some Roadster goodness to it.

The trouble is you then have to stop right away, which brings about some pretty strong regenerative braking action, something that Chrysler needs to work on before making the Circuit available for sale. link] This guy has a very nice looking conversion, he managed to do it for about 25k. Its a Lotus.
