In 268 miles driving through Southern California, aided by the idle stop/start, we averaged 23.8 New Vehicle – Five years/60,000 miles.

Also maintenance on these (no oil changes to speak of) etc will cost much less than an internal combution propelled car. How about using a competition sailplane for comparison, instead? It is also flex so that future biomass fuels such as cellulosic ethanol, methanol can be used (no oil). Learn your facts before you post please.
