Volvo recently announced that it was delaying European deliveries of the SUV to fix software issues. after Volvo gets the EX90 rolling at its South Carolina factory, which will open at least partial EV tax credit eligibility for both models. Software version 1.2 Production will begin in the U.S.

Polestar’s first electric SUV, the Polestar 3 , is expected to begin rolling out in the US in the next few months. Ahead of its debut, Polestar is already offering a massive $7,500 purchase incentive on the new electric SUV. Polestar calls the new EV an “SUV for the electric age.” Both are powered by dual electric motors.

But it still seems a little expensive and we don’t know which EV tax credits it’ll be eligible for due to it being produced inside of China. Localized assembly may eventually manifest at Volvo's South Carolina plant. However, the company was not able to confirm anything at this juncture.

In Europe, the eSprinter will be available in 3 battery configurations (56, 81 and 113kWh) and in short- and long-wheelbase versions, but here in the US we’re only getting access to the long-wheelbase, largest battery version, which will be built in Charleston, South Carolina. It would be nice for an eventual RV upfit, though.

Both companies are owned by Geely, but still headquartered in Sweden, with manufacturing in various parts of the world depending on model. But the excellent Volvo EX30 is set to release this year at a starting price of $35k, which was inclusive of the 25% credit. This important SUV for us will be built in the USA for U.S.
