Toyota Motor Corporation has agreed to collaborate with Masdar, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Air Liquide, and Toyota distributor Al-Futtaim Motors in a joint research program to explore the potential of hydrogen energy use in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the creation of a sustainable, low-carbon society.

It will be the first commercial plant to produce CO 2 -free green ammonia from renewable resources in the UAE. The Helios facility located in KIZAD will be powered by a dedicated 800-megawatt solar power plant within KIZAD. The plant will use solar power to electrolyze water.
