Albemarle is finalizing the site selection for the lithium hydroxide conversion plant in the southeastern United States.

It’s really up to the battery manufacturers and the automakers as to which physical configuration to use, and then of course the internal chemistry configuration. They want non-China material processed in North America, and that ecosystem doesn’t yet exist at full commercial scale, so there has to be some kind of push and pull.
