Customized Detroit vans from the 1960s and 1970s , of course ! Today's Junkyard Find is just such a van, a Colorado second-generation Econoline called BIG CHEESE. There are faded illustrations of cheese and (I think) meat that appear to date back to the 1970s. The build tag says it was built at the Lorain plant in Ohio.

Junkyard Find: 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix LJ

Today's Junkyard Find is an example from the very pinnacle of Grand Prix sales, found in pretty decent condition in a Colorado self-service wrecking yard. The LJ's price tag varied, depending on which paint and interior options were selected. The #1 and #2 all-time sales years for the Grand Prix were 1977 and 1976, respectively.

Junkyard Find: 1959 Studebaker Lark VIII Deluxe 4-Door Sedan

A merger with Packard in 1954 didn't help, and so for 1959 the company's lineup would consist of just the Silver Hawk coupe , various slow-selling trucks and the brand-new Lark. I think this Studebaker moved to Colorado in the middle 1970s. You never know what you'll learn from a Junkyard Find !
