Volvo Cars, in cooperation with Starbucks Corporation, announced the first Starbucks stores where new electric vehicle (EV) chargers, powered by ChargePoint, will be available to customers and members of the public. ChargePoint’s DC fast chargers can bring the Volvo C40 Recharge, for example, from a 20% to a 90% charge in about 40 minutes.

Volvo Car USA and Starbucks are partnering to establish the first public electric vehicle charging network at numerous U.S. At the 15 locations, up to 60 Volvo-branded DC fast chargers supplied by ChargePoint will be placed at various Starbucks locations along a 1,350-mile route from company headquarters in Seattle to Denver, Colorado.

The range is real-world friendly, it's relatively fun to drive, stylish, and comfortable. That said, it could use more range, and the lack of wireless CarPlay in such an expensive vehicle feels like a major misstep. The car looks great, is spacious inside, and offers an upscale cabin that rivals some of Volvo’s more expensive SUVs.
