The extracted rock can be used directly as a power plant resource or it can be processed to produce shale oil, which in turn can be refined into gasoline, diesel or jet fuels. Waste heat is used to generate electricity, making Enefit shale oil plants net producers of electricity. Renewable energy is another solution.
