Daimler has concluded customer field trials with eight pre-production Fuso Canter E-Cell electric trucks ( earlier post ) in Portugal. All eight vehicles travelled the roads of Portugal and were permanently monitored and analyzed during the one-year field trial. The Canter E-Cell trucks were equipped with platforms and box bodies.

It also helps ensure low maintenance and running costs with the Spark consuming as little as 1.5litres of fuel per 100km and producing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions at a meagre 119g/km. . The smaller of the units can power the car from 0-62mph in 15.5 seconds, with a top speed of 96mph.

Nissan and the city of Seattle have joined forces with the belief that electric cars will offer one of the best solutions in the battle against carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. According to Seattle mayor Greg Nickels, the goal is to combine clean, green electricity with the city’s transportation system.
