Slovenia, Iceland, the Netherlands, Ireland, India, Denmark, Sweden, Israel, Germany and the United Kingdom all have 2030 deadlines. GM has announced that by 2025 they will introduce 30 new EV models and by 2035 they will only retail electric vehicles. . This includes Norway and South Korea, by 2025. Japan has a 2035 deadline.

Better Place is building stations in San Francisco, Hawaii, Israel, and Denmark to swap out 1,000 pound batteries in a car wash type set up. I am more reminded of Segway, or that GM thing that Segway helped them build. There is significant cause vs. effect debate on CO2. We have oil!

Driving range will no longer be an obstacle, because customers will be able to plug their cars into charging units in any of the 500,000 charging spots in Israel. Shai Agassi predicts that Israel will have over 100,000 electric vehicles in use by 2010. In addition to Smart Grid City, another major EV/V2G initiative is unfolding.
