Energy-producing cities, and cities with lots of manufacturing, have higher CO 2 outputs than high-tech and service-based cities. Prof Dabo Guan, professor of climate change economics at the University of East Anglia (UEA), led the research, along with Dr Yuli Shan from UEA’s School of International Development.
