Study find biofuels policy doubles CO2 emissions

Since 15 April 2008, the Renewable Transport Fuels Obligation (RTFO) has required suppliers to add biofuels to fuel in an attempt to cut climate-changing emissions. In theory biofuels are good for the climate because plants absorb carbon, which is re-released when the fuel is burnt.
