Clean Energy announced that it has extended its liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply agreement with the City of Phoenix. The two-year contract extension is for an estimated 5 million gasoline gallon equivalents (GGEs) per year and is valued at over $10 million. Clean Energy has supplied the City with LNG for more than a decade.

The companies expect to break ground on the first Dallas-Fort Worth station in the third quarter of 2010, which will be followed with projects in Austin, Baton Rouge, Chicago, Indianapolis, Lake Charles, New Orleans, Orlando, Phoenix, San Antonio and St. Tony Dale, Ferrellgas national director of engine fuels/Autogas.

The Renault-Nissan Alliance is building fleet charging stations in Portland and Phoenix. It is reminiscent of the early 1900’s, when steam, electric, diesel, biomass, and gasoline power options competed on a level playing field for consumers’ attention. They are still focusing on cars that burn gasoline. aren’t there yet.
