DENSO Develops Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor With Improved Temperature Detection Accuracy

With the improved temperature detection performance, the new sensor helps regenerate DPFs more efficiently, resulting in cleaner emissions, as well as increased fuel efficiency due to less fuel required in the DPF regeneration process. It will also be installed to vehicles sold in Japan and Europe in 2010.

Fuel combustion advances yield less weight, cleaner emissions, and higher reliability. An original Parker concept, the ecology tank is installed below the engine’s combustor and is a reservoir in which unburned fuel accumulates for return to the main fuel tanks following engine shutdown.
