What we’re not breathing is clean air, because the smoke from the La Canada-Flintridge fire, about 38 miles from here, is still making air quality hazardous and people in the L.A. Our neighborhood is called the “Hollywood Riviera&# because of its beautiful hillside homes with idyllic ocean views framed by palm trees.

Ladies and gentlemen your friendly neighborhood Greenius has hit the wall. A year-long one. That’s when I also started doing radio commentaries for KLON FM-88 in Long Beach, then an NPR affiliate. Having seen “Inconvenient Truth” the year before I was driven to work on climate change and related environmental issues.
