A Florida car dealer set a mission to drive 1,100 miles in a Toyota Prius, which had been modified as a plug-in hybrid, while burning as little petrol as possible. The trip was sponsored by Florida Toyota dealer Earl Stewart to show the need for clean emission vehicles.

The vehicle is said to produce hydrogen in real time. It consumes the excess carbon in the cylinder during the burn to gain a 15-30 per cent improvement in fuel mileage, while producing near zero carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. So, in effect, this is a supercar capable of around 200mph and yet it has very clean emissions.
