Today's Junkyard Find is a first-generation B-van, found in a Colorado boneyard. The build tag says it was built at St. Such luxury!

Within a row or two of today's Junkyard Find , there's a 1965 Fairlane 500 U.S. The build tag tells us that this car was assembled at Ford's Kansas City plant on July 14, 1964 (the day Jaxques Anquetil won the Tour de France ). You never know what kind of music history you'll find in the junkyard ! The 289 is long gone.

I have documented a half-dozen Studes during my junkyard travels, but none of them were examples of the compact that bought the venerable South Bend company a few more years of survival: the Lark. The first Studebaker car was an EV that went into production in South Bend in 1902. You never know what you'll learn from a Junkyard Find !
