The BMW Group is speeding up the shift towards electromobility and strengthening its global network for production of electrified vehicles. By the end of 2022, each of our German plants will be producing at least one fully electric vehicle. The Chinese plant in Dadong also began producing the BMW iX3 this year.

In 2022, Mercedes-Benz’ global portfolio will include eight all-electric Mercedes-EQ models. The global Mercedes-Benz production network is ready for the company’s electric product offensive and is integrating its Mercedes-EQ models into series production in its existing plants.

Following the EQA 250 (combined electrical consumption: 15.7 kWh/100 km) it is the second fully electric compact car from Mercedes-EQ. After Europe, the international version of the EQB, produced in Kecskemét, Hungary, will be launched at the end of the year, followed by the US market launch in 2022.

With the Concept EQS, Mercedes-Maybach is providing a clear preview of the first fully electric series-production model for the luxury brand. After the EQA, the EQB is the second all-electric compact car from Mercedes-EQ. It will be the first purely electrically powered production vehicle from the Kecskemét plant in Hungary.
