Less portable but no less external are the Kicker systems offered by General Motors which can be baked in to the multifunction tailgates of Silverado and Sierra pickup trucks. At roughly $300 it’s not the cheapest option – but at least there’s nothing even remotely cheap-feeling about this cool-looking beast of a speaker.

The most powerful F-150 Lightning will have up to 433kW and 1051Nm and be capable of faster acceleration than any petrol-powered F-150 before it. Less expensive and powerful Hummers will launch later. However, the electric T9 Hunter will be limited to two-wheel drive and isn’t expected to offer much power.

Power and Torque and Fuel Sipping. recently drove the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 4WD Crew Cab AT4, powered by a 3.0-liter Multiple front and rear USB ports and an auxiliary power outlet kept everything charged and ready to go. This last one was curious as this truck is pretty darn big!

The 3LT delivers 213 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 8 seconds, while the eAWD trims are slightly more powerful thanks to a smaller air-cooled induction motor in the rear. That being said, it is more than adequate and by no means appears cheap or plasticky.
