If you’re CATL, you can sell in mass quantities to GM and Ford. Those guys don’t have the wherewithal to finance a battery-electric truck that costs twice as much as a diesel truck, and they’re usually buying third- or fourth-owner diesels anyway, that are super-cheap. It’s easier to sell to the light-duty market.
