China is exporting so many EVs that it needs more ships – a lot more

By comparison, Japan tops the list with 284 ships, followed by Norway, which has 102. Hence, cheap EVs coming your way (well, not in the US, at least not yet anyway). South Korea comes in third with 72 and the Isle of Man, which has 61 registered ships, in fourth. Still, steep import tariffs await on European borders.

Hence its supply would not be cheap, renewable nor sustainable in the long term. The cost of platinum makes hydrogen fuel cells an expensive proposition even in comparison to lithium-ion batteries.
