SLCPs may account for an estimated 40% of global warming, increasing the impacts of climate change. SLCPs include black carbon (soot), methane and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs)—the fastest-growing source of GHG emissions in California and globally—which are used as refrigerants, aerosol propellants and insulation.
