In a news conference at the Japan National Press Club on Friday, Toyota Motor President Akio Toyoda said that the company plans to begin mass production of electric vehicles in the US in 2012, followed by US production of fuel cell vehicles in 2015. As an example, Yokoyama used the carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) hydrogen storage tank.
