The glue is just gelatin, and after it all dries, the wing is packaged in plastic and tape to make sure that it doesn’t break down in wet or humid environments. It’s a process that’s fast, simple, and cheap. The structure and tail surfaces are made of carbon fiber and foam.

Flying robots are usually way, way, way over-engineered, with ridiculously over the top components like two whole wings or an obviously ludicrous four separate motors. While F-SAM's control board was custom designed and the wing requires some fabrication, the rest of the parts are cheap and off the shelf. Can F-SAM fly outdoors?
