Ive found it facinating how car commercials changed the main MPG number they promoted before gas went over $4 a gallon as city miles. Companies can not sell engineering prototypes in which the company got R&D tax breaks in developing the product. Going from 12MPG to 15.8MPG saves more gas than going from 50MPG to 500MPG.
