Cadillac announced a partnership with the ChargePoint electric vehicle-charging network in the world. The collaboration brings Cadillac ELR drivers immediate access to more than 16,500 charging locations on the ChargePoint network. All 2014 and 2015 ELRs will include a ChargePoint Driver Kit in the owner’s manual.

Two themes emerged from the 2022 Chicago Auto Show: special edition vehicles and those powered by some sort of electricity. The special edition vehicles included trucks and SUVs sporting an array of accessories and trim kits, while cars and SUVs using electricity are continuing to grow more dominant by the day. GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. Shifted earlier focus to all-electric Focus in 2011 with Magna. Plans Cadillac Converj, Opel Ampera, other versions. todays answer is "Yes -- but not yet."

The Volt is, and always has been, more than than an electric car. GM will leapfrog Toyota and Honda by providing an electric car to the masses by the end of next year. Wired Home Subscribe Sections Cars 2.0 But it is a price that must be paid, and GM should be commended for remaining committed to the Volt. Thats short-sighted.
