Cross-cutting carbon-optimized bioconversion methods that have the potential for high-impact emissions reductions. The awardees are: LanzaTech, Inc. National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

Clutches are OWC1, C1 and B1. The piston bowl was developed to enable spray-guided direct injection to improve combustion system performance and robustness for catalytic converter light-off. GM chose exhaust cam park timing to optimize cold-start emissions and engine efficiency based on the chosen intake cam park timing selection.
