Here’s what the brainiacs at General Motors sent the premier EV car conference on the West Coast. But what did surprise this reporter was the absence of Honda, Toyota, BYD, and a lot of the other players listed on the Plug-In America car tracker. The Mitsubishi i-MiEV, only here because SCE is testing it.

In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. Small long-term evaluation program, including modeling of vehicle-to-grid building benefits and economics, begun with Southern California Edison, joined by EPRI, other utilities, US DOE. BYD also developed the motors and software for the system.
