Under the emerging J2954 guidelines, communications for wireless charging will use DSRC. The SAE Taskforce on wireless charging and positioning of electric vehicles (SAE J2954) ( earlier post ) is progressing, and is slated to have a final draft of the guideline this year, according to the Society of Automotive Engineers, International (SAE).

The BMW ActiveHybrid X6. BMW announced the production versions of the BMW ActiveHybrid X6 and the BMW ActiveHybrid 7. The ActiveHybrid X6 will reach US BMW Centers in fourth-quarter 2009, and the ActiveHybrid 7 will arrive in the US in Spring 2010. Luggage compartment capacity is the same as on the original BMW X6.
