Volvo XC40 Recharge and Polestar 2: EV cousins offer different takes on “premium”

It’s called the XC40 Recharge, and the earliest versions aren’t cheap, priced from about $55,000 including delivery. The electric XC40 comes from Ghent, Belgium, incidentally. Under current rules, that means up to 200,000 Polestar vehicles will be eligible for the full $7,500 federal income-tax credit for buying an EV.
