Professor Ahmed Elmarakbi, a Professor of Automotive Engineering at Sunderland’s Department of Computing, Engineering and Technology, initiated the idea and wrote the Graphene Flagship proposal and will drive the project forward over the next 18 months. The partnership now includes more than 140 organisations from 23 countries.
