I met with Preeti Gupta, a freelancer with the BBC. We were not told of any rainwater harvesting plan, so I guess most of the water is coming by pipeline. The paint shop alone requires about one lakh litres of makeup water every day. 95% of the water is recycled. The cells are stored in a special low-temperature area.

And in a true smart grid, electric cars will not only be able to draw on electricity to run their motors, they will also be able to do the reverse: send electricity stored in their batteries back into the grid when it is needed. Electric cars in the garages would double as battery packs for when energy supplies are scarce.
