Alternatively, may we suggest the sound of the neighborhood ice cream truck? If the hybrids engine starts operating, at higher speeds or throttle demands or lower battery levels, the control system automatically stops the external synthesis. Nonetheless, I do agree that it wastes of energy, reduces range and should NOT be mandatory.

It eliminates waiting in lines or out of order machinery and gives you the benefit of your vehicles full range right from your doorstep. Battery swapping has its critics.
