ECOtality installs first DC fast charger in Tennessee

ECOtality and Cracker Barrel Old Country Store unveiled the first Blink Direct Current (DC) Fast Charger in Tennessee at the Lebanon Cracker Barrel location. The stations are able to charge a battery to 80% capacity in under 30 minutes. The project will provide an EV infrastructure to support the deployment of 8,300 EVs.

President Obama announced 48 new advanced battery and electric drive projects that will receive $2.4 The announcement marks the single largest investment in advanced battery technology for hybrid and electric-drive vehicles ever made. Companies and universities in Michigan are receiving more than $1 billion of the grants.
