Alstom successfully performed the first test run at 80 km/h (50 mph) of the fuel cell passenger train Coradia iLint ( earlier post ) on its own test track in Salzgitter, Lower Saxony (Germany). TÜV Süd has certified the safety of the battery, the pressure tank system and the fuel cell for the coming test phases.

ŠKODA will stage the world premiere of the VISION E electric concept vehicle at the upcoming Shanghai Motor Show 2017 (19 – 28 April). The top speed of the two-motor, all-wheel drive concept is 180 km/h (112 mph). With system output of 225 kW, the ŠKODA VISION E accelerates instantaneously and dynamically.

Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH, a subsidiary of Proton Power Systems plc, a designer, developer and producer of fuel cells and fuel cell electric hybrid systems, has previewed the first passenger bus using the company’s “triple-hybrid” fuel cell system. The project was coordinated by UJV, a leading research institution in the Czech Republic.
