A new all-electric luxury SUV is set to hit the market next year to compete with Tesla’s best-selling Model Y. Volvo is joining the luxury electric SUV market with its new EX60 launching next year. The new EX60 will rival premium models from Tesla, Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. That’s up from 13 in Q4 2023.

Volvo has pulled the drapes off the Volvo EM90, its first minivan in more than 70 years of car-making. Not only that it’s battery-powered and more luxurious than its flagship XC90 SUV. That’s because both Zeekr and Volvo are owned by the same Chinese parent, Geely. 2024 Volvo EM90.

Fresh details suggest Volvo is on track to launch an all-new battery-electric replacement for the current S90 that will be named the Volvo ES90 when it hits showrooms in 2025. Thanks to its new platform, the Volvo should maximise passenger space as it gets a huge 3100mm wheelbase – 105mm longer than the bigger BMW i5.
