that car was missing precisely what the Volt (and any other would-be electric car under consideration today) is missing -- an appropriate battery technology that provides decent power within a decent weight and space constraint at anything approaching a decent price. The EV1 needs to be built with LI batteries and a REAL Assembly Line.
