The US Department of Transportation (DOT) is awarding $100 million in Economic Recovery Act funding to 43 transit agencies for projects to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from both vehicles and facilities. Buses will be powered by an Azure Dynamics hybrid system of Michigan. Link Transit, Washington: $2,925,000.
