With a 100 kW (130 hp), 400 lb-ft (542 N·m) electric motor mated with a coaxial drive unit, the Spark EV can accelerate from 0-60 mph in under eight seconds. The heart of the Spark EV’s propulsion system is the GM-designed, oil-cooled, permanent magnet motor.
