Ford has begun production of the Deutsche Post StreetScooter WORK XL electric van at its European HQ in Cologne, Germany. Deutsche Post DHL is using the WORK XL to support its urban parcel delivery service in Germany, while the future availability of the electric van to third-party customers is under consideration.

Ports of Auckland (New Zealand) has signed a contract with Dutch company Damen Shipyards to buy the world’s first full-size, fully electric port tug. It was important to us that a new electric tug should be able to carry out normal port operations, just like our existing diesel tugs.

French automaker Renault is considering selling at least some of its stake in Japanese automaker Nissan to fund its transition to a fully-electric lineup in the coming years. Russia, Italy, Germany, and Turkey followed. Nissan shares dropped over 6 percent around the news. Bloomberg initially reported the story on Friday.
