As with the all-new 2018 Volkswagen Atlas full-size SUV ( earlier post ), the new Tiguan is based on Volkswagen’s Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) architecture. This is the only engine/transmission combination available in the Tiguan in the US. Select compact SUVs. 4Motion with Active Control all-wheel drive system is optional.
