Mercedes-Benz presents autonomous Future Truck 2025 research vehicle; “Highway Pilot”

The truck is equipped with the intelligent Highway Pilot assistance system, which enables it to drive completely autonomously at speeds of up to 85 km/h (53 mph). The radar sensor is the basis for the Proximity Control Assist and Emergency Braking Assist already available today. The vehicle uses this to announce its presence.
