The grant will provide funds for the installation of ChargePoint Networked Charging Stations for electric vehicles in three California metro regions: Los Angeles, Sacramento and the San Jose/San Francisco Bay Area. The EPRI stations will be used to collect research data on the requirements of workplace charging.

Coulomb Technologies, in partnership with Ford, Chevrolet and smart USA, will provide 4,600 free home and public ChargePoint Networked Charging Stations for electric vehicles throughout the United States through the ChargePoint America program. Second, the regions themselves had to write a letter to support the grant proposal.

Government and industry began to plan for the rollout of plug-in cars with a plan to roll out public charging infrastructure. Level II charging stations are great for opportunity charging while shopping or working and should be widely diffused. Although I knew it was technically feasible, it seemed we would have to wait.

Surprising to many, including I suspect Tesla Motors itself, they found that about half the charging of Roadsters at home in the U.S. Despite the fact that it takes 38-60 hours to charge a Tesla from empty to full at 120V. is at 120V.
