Maven, General Motors’ personal mobility brand, has expanded its offerings to include a new monthly service, Maven Reserve. Maven Reserve is available now in Los Angeles and San Francisco with plans to expand to other cities. Maven members pay a monthly fee to reserve a new GM vehicle loaded with technology for 28 days.

Full disclosure: Hyundai flew me to Baltimore, Maryland, and fed and housed me for two nights so that I could drive the new Kona. Hyundai claims the new Kona was designed as an EV first, though the EV won’t be available right away at launch – it’s slated to bow late this fall. Let the small crossover wars continue.
