According to industry estimates, the state’s automotive sector is now valued at USD 3 billion, with Gujarat exporting automobiles and auto components with over eight lakh vehicles exported in the fiscal year 2020-21. Tata Motors currently has signed an MoU with the Gujarat government to establish a lithium-ion cell factory.
